Malaisie : Langkawi

Au lieu de payer pour prolonger notre visa thaïlandais qui arrive à expiration, ou de faire un aller-retour à la frontière, nous décidons de prendre le bateau de Koh Lipe en Thaïlande à Langkawi en Malaisie où le visa est gratuit.

Thaïlande : Bangkok

Nous arrivons à Bangkok par le bus de nuit qui nous dépose à la gare routière de Chatuchak. Malgré la fatigue, il faut vite remettre nos cerveaux de voyageurs en marche pour éviter de tomber dans le panneau d'un homme en costume qui nous propose de partager un taxi pour une somme dérisoire (une arnaque répertoriée dans les guides), et trouver la ligne de bus qui peut nous conduire au centre ville, près de la fameuse Kao San Road. Trouver une chambre abordable s'avère plus difficile que prévu, mais rien n'est impossible à l'autre bout du monde!

Thaïlande : Pai, Mae Hong Son, Mae Chaem

A partir de Chiang Mai, nous louons un scooter, 4 jours, pour parcourir 700 Km dans les montagnes du nord-ouest thaïlandais. On s'embourgeoise un peu, fini le petit 110 cc, pour de telles distances à deux, personne ne veut nous le louer, ce sera donc un gros Honda 150 cc, négocié 350 bahts par jour (9 €), un confort qu'on ne regrettera pas.
